What is a Self Pumping Motorcycle Oxygen Sensor?

“Self Pumped” oxygen sensor means that instead of letting the oxygen flow in from the sensor body or letting the system pump in the oxygen from the exhaust gas, the sensor itself has the ability the pump oxygen from the exhaust gas by itself.  This oxygen is the “Referenced Air” used for sensor’s Air Fuel ratio sampling. 

CERADEX’s Self Pumped Motorcycle Oxygen Sensor (SE Series) is perfect choice for EFI system designers who look for solutions for better and accurate emission control from more stable sensor voltage feeds, all in a tiny sensor package that saves design space.  SE Series is about half the size of our PM Series.  With full sensor body sealing, designers does not need to worry about water, pollutant, and oil intrusion that lower sensor durability and induce sensor breakage.  In additional no extra parts required for EFI system design to pump the oxygen while maintaining full closure of sensor.
