Ring membrane potentiometer also known as rotary position sensor, is constructed with two layers of PET film. The top layer is printed with conductive silver, the bottom layer is printed with conductive terminal first and cover with resistive carbon. By combining the layers with an adhesive spacer, the sensor stayed open circuit. The sensing cell close circuited and output resistance value when pressure is applied to the corresponding position of the sensor. The closer to the connected terminal, the lower the resistance outputs.
